Claire returns to warn her brother Chris about Umbrella’s experiments as an infection spreads through their hometown.
The beginning
Claire grew up in the local orphanage and learned that Umbrella used children in experiments. Her warning reaches Chris as the company prepares to abandon the town.
The conflict
An outbreak turns residents violent. Claire and rookie officer Leon seek a way out while Chris and the S.T.A.R.S. team investigate the mansion.
The turning point
Wesker has been sent to steal the G-virus from scientist William Birkin. The search reveals that Umbrella intends to destroy the city and cover up its work.
A choice
Birkin injects himself and mutates. Claire, Chris, Leon and Birkin’s daughter Sherry flee through the underground facility as the city’s destruction approaches.
The ending
Leon uses a rocket launcher against the mutated Birkin on the escape train. The survivors leave the ruined city; a mid-credits scene shows Wesker alive and introduced to Ada Wong.
